01 · The idea

A great floor is decided before the first plank goes down. We strip the old floor, repair and level the base, then install it, checking every step.

02 · Stairs & details

The floor doesn’t stop at the stairs.

We carry the same plank over treads, nosings and landings, and finish every edge where the floor meets something else. Look closely: that’s where the work shows.

Know what you’re comparing

What to discuss before the final quote.

  • Price and inclusions

The total budget and whether materials, labor, removal, disposal, leveling, trim and stairs are included.

  • Material choices

The product, color, plank size and pattern. Bring a reference photo if you have a look in mind.

  • Timing and your home

Your preferred dates, expected work duration, furniture moving and which rooms will be out of use.

  • Unknowns under the old floor

Damage or uneven areas may only become visible after removal. Discuss how extra preparation would affect the scope and price.

Before you ask

A few answers to get started.

What should I send?

Your city or ZIP, what needs doing, an approximate area and a few photos of the current floor. Add your preferred timing and budget if you know them. Exact measurements aren’t needed to start; we measure at the visit.

Do I need to choose a material first?

No. Tell us how you use the room and the look you want. We recommend materials and source through Lowe’s and Bay Area suppliers.

Is the estimate the final price?

The estimate is the starting point. The final quote follows our discussion of the work and material choices. Clarify what is included and what could change before you decide.

How soon can the work start?

Estimates take about a week. Installation is scheduled after the final quote; the start date and duration depend on the scope, materials and availability. Let us know if you have a deadline.

Does this request book a visit?

No. It starts a conversation. The on-site visit is free in San Francisco and within 20 miles of Palo Alto. Farther out? Contact us to discuss your location.
